Discourse for the High Holy Days by the Chafetz Chaim – Letter of his Disciple Rabbi Y.M. Ben Menachem
Interesting letter from RabbiYitzchak Meir Ben Menachem (Pachiner), to the rabbi of Tiberius, Rabbi Rafael Ha-Cohen Kook. Jerusalem, Elul 1956.
The letter contains a whole discourse on the subject of Teshuva and a special means of earning meritorious judgment, by the Chafetz Chaim, with which he used to awaken the community every Erev Rosh Hashana.
Rabbi Yitzchak Meir (Pachiner) Ben Menachem, (1898-1960), author of Parashat HaMelech. Disciple of the Chafetz Chaim in the RAdin Yeshiva, and one of the foremost disciples of the Saba of Slabodka, in Slabodka and Hebron. Son-in-law of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer, and one of the foremost dayanim in Israel.
