Esther scroll on vellum. [Eretz Israel, late 19th or early 20th century].
Engraved olive wood, carved; printing; parchment, scribal writing.
The scroll is held in a carved olive wood case. Reliefs of the Western Wall and the Temple Mount (Dome of the Rock) are carved on the case with names of the sites and the word "Yerushalem" (Hebrew) printed in black ink. "HaMelech" scroll in fine script, with serifs, 14 lines per column.
Height of vellum: 8 cm. Height of case: 25 cm. Good condition. Some cracks to case. Some creases and stains to vellum.
