Simcha Treiger - 59 Original Micrography Works of Torah Portions / Printed Micrography Plates
The Pentateuch. Collection of works by the Brazilian micrographer Simcha Treiger.
1-59. Fifty nine original micrography works. [Brazil], 1982.
Ink on thick brown paper (reminiscent of parchment). All are signed and dated.
Each work is dedicated to one Torah portion (the portions Metzorah, Acharei Mot, Korach, Chukat and Re'eh each receive two sheets).
Each of the Pentateuch books is represented by twelve micrography works, which, when seen together, comprise one artistic unit.
Leaves 32X24 cm. Good condition. Stains and slight defects.
60-64. Five printed plates for hanging. Each plate is dedicated to one of the books of the Pentateuch and is made up of the micrograpy works created by Treiger for the different portions.
Printed on kappa. Approx. 50X50 cm. Good overall condition.
Enclosed: pencil sketch by Treiger.
The micrographer Simcha Treiger created many original works incorporating illustrations and Biblical texts (some of his works were printed as lithographs in limited editions). His works have been displayed in many exhibitions throughout the world and have won dozens of awards. They are included in the collections, among others, of the Lubavitcher Rabbi and the Rebbe of Viznitz.
