Rare Spanish translation and commentary to the Torah, prepared by Joseph Franco Serrano (1652-95), rabbi and teacher of the Talmud Torah of Amsterdam and son of the the celebrated Haham Moses Raphael Aguilar. Prefixed to the work is a list of the commentators cited here, and notes on the names of the five Books. The text is followed by comments on certain Preceptos, a few additional notes, index and list of errata. Includes a dedication to the community trustees (parnassim) and treasurer (gabay), the work also contains the Hebrew approval of Chief Rabbi Ya’acov Sasportas of the Spanish & Portuguese Congregation of Amsterdam.
