Qanun, wooden musical instrument—21st century.
70x35x5cm. The Qanun is a central instrument in Arabic and Turkish music. It is referenced often in writings and oral traditions starting from the 10th century, including the One Thousand and One Nights. The origin of its name is probably from the Greek “κανων”, which means “law.” Generally good condition.
