On the upper right: "Leshana Tova Tikatevu", on the left inside the Star of David inscription "Jaffa". The photographer's panel stamp at the bottom right. On the back is an ink stamp of the Mossad.

Edelstein brothers were active in Palestine between 1893-1920. Bernard photographed around 1890 a series of villages and farms in the Land of Israel supported by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, among them Zikhron Ya'akov [which received the most extensive documentation of 15 photographs from the moshava and surrounding area], Hadera, Gan Shmuel Farm, Yesod Hama'ala and Rosh Pina. Edelstein's photographs are rare and numbers, some of them are stored in the Zionist Archives, and the rest are in the Rishon Le-Zion archive.

Size: 10x14 cm, glued to the photographer's hard surface: 17x11 cm. Stains, fine condition.
