19th century AD
Made on a George III, 1797 cartwheel penny. Obv: near smoothed with punched initials I T with large and small crosses above, to sides and below. Rev: near smoothed. 26.39 grams. Very fine.

With the presence of multiple crosses around the initials, it is possible that this token might be associated with a prisoner who was executed.
