9th century AD
A silver strap end of Thomas's Class A with split upper edge, two attachment rivets, crescent panel above a border of squares each with a central pellet, profile beast to the centre, beast-head finial with mouse-ears. 7.41 grams, 41mm (1 3/4"). Fine condition, rear flange absent.
