9th-11th century AD
A silver hoop divided into expanding rods and plaited tightly, the tapering ends twisted about the shank to form a decorative spiral. 13.2 grams, 32.17mm overall, 21.24mm internal diameter (approximate size British Y, USA 12, Europe 27.51, Japan 26) (1 1/4"). Very fine condition. A large wearable size. [No Reserve]

From a London W1, UK, collection; acquired on the German art market before 2000.
