A hollow ceramic piriform missile with conical top and thick rim enclosing the narrow mouth, concentric circle decoration to the neck; intended to be filled with explosive liquid and a wick, and used as a hand grenade. 537 grams, 17cm (6 3/4"). Fair condition, chipped.

Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000.
