An iron broad axehead of asymmetrical profile with reinforced curved cutting edge, round socket with triangular flanges and long rectangular panel to the rear face; mounted on a custom-made stand. 1 kg total, 22.4cm including stand (8 3/4"). Very fine condition. Professionally cleaned and restored.
Provenance
From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s.
