A hollow blue-glazed ceramic vessel with domed top and conical base, intended to be filled with explosive liquid and a wick, and used as a hand grenade; hatched line decoration to the shoulder and neck. 446 grams, 14.8cm (6"). Fine condition. A rare type.

From an important English collection; acquired in the 1990s.
