Gandharan Figural Frieze Section with Figures and Animals
2nd-4th century AD
A carved schist frieze fragment, slightly curved in plan, with crenellated upper band, frieze of advancing and standing figures with animals and columns; mounted on a custom-made stand. 2 kg, 28.5cm wide including stand (11 1/4"). Fair condition.

Property of a London collector, acquired early 1990s.
