3rd-7th century AD
A gold ring comprising a flat-section narrow hoop, bezel with scooped sides, inset cabochon garnet with intaglio advancing beast. 1.72 grams, 19mm overall, 12.83mm internal diameter (approximate size British C, USA 1 1/2, Europe 0.15, Japan -) (3/4"). Fine condition.
Provenance
The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
