As in his other
sefarim, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef of Polonne quotes his illustrious rabbi, the Baal Shem Tov, bringing fundamental Chassidic ideas from him.
This first edition was published in Koritz, 1782, and was brought to print by Rabbi Yaakov Yosef's son-in-law, Rabbi Avraham Dov Auerbach, Av Beis Din of Chmielnick, who would eventually succeed his father-in-law's position in Polonne.
