This first edition was published in Fiorda, 1781, and includes signatures and glosses from Rabbi Akiva Eiger and his family which have never been brought to print.

Rabbi Akiva Eiger: Glosses written by Rabbi Akiva Eiger in tractate Kesuvos, Kedushim, Gittin and Avoda Zara: Leaves 32a – 32b: 44b: 45a, 51b, 53b, 83a
Rabbi Simcha Bunim Eiger: Signature from Rabbi Bunim Eiger, Av Beis Din of Mattersdorf, at the beginning of the endorsements and introduction. He also signed several of his glosses which can be found on leaves 8b: 9b: 53b: 37b: 86a.
Rabbi Avraham Eiger: Rabbi Avraham Eiger of Rawitch, eldest son of Rabbi Akiva, added an inscription attributing the sefer to his father, and signed as well on leaf 1 (cropped).
Rabbi Yosef Eiger was the illustrious son of Rabbi Bunim Eiger. His signature appears at the beginning of the title page on the left-hand side.

Rabbi Akiva Eiger (1761 - 1867) was the son of Rabbi Moshe Güns and the maternal grandson of the first Rabbi Akiva Eiger, Av Beis Din of Pressburg, after whom he was named.
Rabbi Akiva greatly extols his grandfather and expresses his deep admiration for him in his writings with words such as "… I am dust under the palms of his feet…, " and the like.
