Novella on Maseches Yevamos, as well as the related Tshuvos Ha’RaSHB”A, by R. Elchonon Wasserman. With a warm approbation by the authors’ brother in law R. Chaim Ozer Grodzensky. This sefer quickly became a classic, learned in great depth throughout the Yeshiva world.
R. Elchonon Bunim Wasserman (1874-1941), studied at the Telshe Yeshiva under R. Lazer Gordon and R. Shimon Shkop, and later became a close disciple of R. Chaim Soloveitchik and the Chofetz Chaim. As Rosh Yeshiva in Baranovitch he was renowned for his clear and penetrating shiurim which attracted many students. His seforim, Kovetz Shiurim, Kovetz He’oros and Kovetz Ma’amorim are widely studied in Yeshivos. Additionally, he was much involved in communal matters and was one of the leaders of the Agudas Yisroel movement.
