One of the earliest and most fundamental halachic works, the Sefer Halachos Gedolos was written during the period of the Gaonim. The identity of author, (known as the Ba’al Halachos Gedolos [BaHaG]) is a matter of dispute between the Rishonim who cite him extensively. Some attribute it to R. Yehudai Gaon and others to R. Shimon Keira. On the title page of this sefer R. Moshe M’Couci (S’MAG) is quoted ascribing it to R. Yehudai Gaon. Following the title page, is an introduction regarding the identity of the author.

Repairs to the first few and last few pages slightly effecting text. Some water staining throughout. Elegant modern leather binding.
