Four children's books by Chaim Nachman Bialik (one which he translated). Three are illustrated by Ya'akov Apter. Published by Omanut, Frankfurt am Main, 1923.
1. HaMelech David B'Me'ara [King David in the Cave], legend written by C.N. Bialik, Illustrations by Y. Apter.
[2], 19, [3] pages (including cover), 18X24.5 cm. Good condition. Stains, mostly on cover. Tears and minor defects to spine and to the edges of the cover.
2. Shlomo HaMelech [King Solomon], legend written by C.N. Bialik, illustrated by Y. Apter.
[2], 38, [2] pages (including cover), 18X25 cm. Good condition. Stains. Pen signature on front cover. Handwritten dedication on first page. Defects and minor tears to cover's corners and to spine.
3. Bat HaMelech U'Ven Zuga [The King's Daughter and her Husband], a legend told by Chaim Nachman Bialik, illustrated by Y. Apter.
[2], 15, [2] pages (including cover), 18X24.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains. Several detached leaves and several loose leaves. Folds and creases (vertical folding mark to all the leaves). Defects and small tears to cover.
4. HeChatul V'HaShual[ The Cat and the Fox], (Gamliel Library) . A folk tale translated by Chaim Nachman Bialik, accompanied by illustrations.
