Fundamental Kabbalistic/Ethical work of R. Moshe Chaim Luzzato setting out the fundamentals of the Jewish faith, touching upon man’s obligations in this world and his relation to his Creator. A classic sefer it is still widely studied and has been reprinted many times as well as translated into various languages.
R. Moshe Chaim Luzzato (1707 -1746) was born in Padua, Italy into a distinguished family. His genius was obvious from a very early age, and as a young man he was already well known for his complete mastery of the entire Biblical, Rabbinic and Kabbalistic literature. Though most well-known for his Mesillas Yesharim – perhaps the most popular mussar work in Jewish literature – the main focus in most of his numerous works was on Kabbalah. Up until today, his profound works continue to touch and inspire Jews of all groups.
Leveston-Proops press. 2, 99 pages. 21cm. Two title pages. Excellent condition. Antique binding (loose).
