Seforim printed in Poland during this era are particularly rare as they had to have survived the infamous decree of “Tach V’Tat” during which Bohdan Chelmnytzky and his Cossacks travelled through Poland and The Ukraine massacring thousands of Jewish families and plundering their possessions.
