NAUTICAL PRINTS OF THE BOSTON MURALS BY NC WYETH
A lot of three framed color prints. The prints represent three out of four nautical wall paintings executed in 1924 by N.C. Wyeth for the lobby of the First National Bank of Boston that was located on 100 Federal Street, Boston, MA. Each artwork depicts historical ships at sea: Elizabethan Galleons, Clippers, and a Tramp Steamer. The prints are signed in the lower left and titled on the backside. Newell Convers Wyeth, 1882-1945, was an American artist and illustrator, a pupil of Howard Pyle. At the moment, the original paintings are still in position of the Bank of America but not on public dispaly. Beige mat, wooden frames. Collectible Americana Historical Graphic Art For Interior Design.
