Antique red and green Star of Bethlehem quilt c1860 measuring 75 x 91 inches, with 20 Star of Bethlehem blocks about 13 x 13 inches, set on point, 4 x 5 with alternating framed four point stars and framed solid off white setting triangles. Double strip piece border on three sides, measuring 3 inches. Thin cotton batting, off white cotton reverse, a turkey red fabric binds the quilt by hand. Hand pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. Quilt was purchased in Montclair, NJ in 1993. In fair condition with overall toning, several spots and discolorations, and fabric deterioration in the block and along the binding. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
