Chassidut. Sefer Segulah “For protection and merit” – Ohr Haganuz, first edition.

Sefer Ohr Haganuz in two sections:
Section one: Ohr Haganuz – elucidations on the Torah, according to "Pardes".
Section two: V’Zot L’Yehudah – elucidations on the Mishnayot according to remez.
Authored by Rabbi Yehudah Leib Hakohen of Hanipol, a distinguished member of the Maggid of Mezeritsch’s chaburah, who served as his baal tefillah and was one of the only two people from whom the Baal HaTanya requested an approbation on the Tanya.

Segulah and Protection:

Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl wrote in his introduction: “Every one should purchase this holy book so that it should be a merit and protection for him and his progeny." In their approbations, his sons, Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl, Rabbi Avraham of Trisk and Rabbi Dovid of Tolna, refer to their father's promise that this book is a protective segulah.

The book opens with the approbation of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch. This is the only known approbation that he gave. Additional approbations from Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and the Chiddushei Harim.
