GERMAN HISTORICAL MILITARY UNIFORMS HERBERT KNOETEL
Complete portfolio with 32 color plates depicting the German military in full uniform from 1630 through WWII, titled 'The Development of the German Army - Uniform Plates' ('Die Entwicklung des Deutschen Heeres - Uniformtafeln') by Martin Lezius. 9.125 x 12.25 inches, circa 1937. All images are based on watercolor drawings made by German artist and illustrator Herbert Knotel (1893-1963). Portfolio also contains eight pages of plate descriptions in German. Inside flaps separated at the folds. Small split to the book spine and a stain on the backside of the folder.
