Royal Doulton Presentation Vase Queen Elizabeth II Silver
A Twin Handled Loving Cup made to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
Made in 1977 in a very small edition of 250, these loving cups are prized for their incredible detail and execution. Front panel with a portrait of QE II in high relief with her court watching from below. The reverse panel has a high relief panel with the Royal Crest - Lion and Unicorn. This richly colored loving-cup features the Queen in profile in her coronation robes above shields representing Scotland, England, and Wales with the Union Jack, the White Ensign, the Blue Ensign and the Scottish lion to the sides. She is attended by various countrymen including a Yeoman of the Guard and the Royal Trumpeters. Below is the legend �ELIZABETH II SILVER JUBILEE�. The reverse displays the Royal Coat of Arms with the motto �DIEU ET MON DROIT�. The names of all Commonwealth countries are incised either on or beneath the handles with their modelled lions� heads. #presentation #commemorative
