1902 Wilhelm Duerer fecit violin in case. A beautiful instrument with what appears to be all original hardware although it has been gone through by a local luthier to ensure that it can be properly tuned and played. The instrument is in fantastic condition and sounds wonderful when played by an experienced violinist. The condition is excellent as it has been well cared for for many years. But headstock has a very odd shield carved into it with the words Straduari Violin ARTIST. There is a paper label inside with a small emblem with a dollar sign inside of a circle that has three triangles on top and a triangle coming off of the bottom at the far left with the word Trade-Mark. underneath. Further center and right of the label have the name Willhelm Duerer fecit across the top, Eisleben anno with the year 1902 hand written in the space provided underneath it and Registered at the bottom. The case is in favor to good condition with the handle still attached but the hardware is all of oxidized or rusted. The latch that opens the case in the middle, by the handle, does not work very well at all anymore.
