David Davidovich Burliuk (Russian, American, 1882-1967) oil painting on board depicts still-life with flowers. Signed lower right. Framed. David Burliuk was a Russian-language poet, artist, publicist, and book illustrator associated with the Futurist, Neo-Primitivist, and Futurism movements. Burliuk is often described as the father of Russian Futurism.

Provenance: Purchased from an important New York collection in 1995.

Dimensions: Frame: 27 3/8 x 35 1/4 in., (69.5 x 89.5 cm.)

Condition: Very good, no apparent signs of restoration.
