Extensive work on the genealogy of the Ruzhin and Chernobyl dynasties, by R. Reuven of Ostilla.
Founded by Grand R. Menachem Nochum Twersky “Meor Einayim”, the dynasty is named after the Ukrainian town of Chernobyl, where R. Nochum served as the maggid. The Chernobyl dynasty includes Cherkas, Horonsteipl, Machnovka, Rachmistrivka, Skver, Tolna, Trisk and several others. At the onset of the Holocaust there were hundreds of descendants in the extended family. The Ruzhin dynasty, founded by R. Yisroel of Ruzhin includes the dynasties of Sadigura, Boyan, Chortkov, Vasloi, Kapishnitz, Husyatyn, Bohush and others.
