Classics. Sefer Mitzvos Gadol. Venice 1522. Bomberg Press! Unidentified Rabbinical Glosses and Signatures.
Early edition of the enumeration of the 613 Mitzvos by R. Moshe M’Coucy, one of the great Ba’alei Tosfos of France. The basic format of the sefer is somewhat similar to the Sefer HaMitzvos of the RaMBaM. However unlike the RaMBaM, the SMaG presents long discussions of different interpretations and opinions. He also quotes Rashi and Tosfos extensively, generally favoring the Ashkenazic tradition over the RaMBaM.
Stefansky Hebrew Classics 214. Vinograd Venice 66. Daniel Bomberg Press. 250 pages. 28.5 cm. Overall fine condition. Some pages in moderate condition affecting some text. Extensive staining. Title page with crude restoration, not affecting text. Final page lacking half, filled in an antique hand. Modern binding.
With signatures of various members of the Kanner family of Sanock. The Kanner family was among the most prominent families in Galicia and were related by marriage to numerous Tzadikim and Rabbonim. Lengthy unidentified rabbinical glosses.
