Beaumont MFG Cotton Mill Company Token Grades Choice AU. The Beaumont Manufacturing Company opened the original Beaumont Mill in 1890. Later Spartan Mills aquired the Beaumont Mills around WWII producing clothes for the war. In the years 1959-1963 the mill was involved in the Sherbert v. Verner case and the mills gained national attention. Beaumont Mill closed in 1999 and Mills No. 1 & 2 were renovated in 2004. Mill No. 3 was demolished along with the various warehouse on the site.
