Rare. First edition in Ladino of the sefer Shevet Mussar. Constantinople, 1742? 1748? Old signature: "Chaim Shmuel Davila" and the piyut Ein Adir…Mipi Kel written by hand.
Shevet Mussar by Rav Eliyahu HaKohen of Izmir.
Rare. First edition in Ladino of the sefer Shevet Mussar, one of the most well-known mussar sefarim. Constantinople, 1748. In the specification of the year, it isn't clear whether the letter vav (in the word v'el) is bolded. If it is not, the year is 1742. 304 pgs; 25 cm.
The last page has an old signature: Chaim Shmuel Davila, apparently from the rabbinical family of Morocco. On the final page, the piyut Ein Adir…Mipi Kel is written by hand.
Handsome faux leather binding. Title page has tears with a little bit missing in the frame of the sha'ar. In addition, a few pages have minor tears at the margins. Stains and moth damage. Very good condition.
ספר 'שבט מוסר' מאת רבי אליהו הכהן מאיזמיר.
נדיר. מהדורה ראשונה בלאדינו של הספר 'שבט מוסר', אחד מספרי המוסר הנפוצים ביותר. קושטא, תק"ח 1748. בפרט השנה ספק אם האות ו' ("ואל") מודגשת. לפי זה התאריך הוא תק"ב. ש"ד ד'; 25 ס"מ.
בדף אחרון חתימה עתיקה: "חיים שמואל דאבילה" כנראה ממשפחת הרבנים במרוקו.
בעמוד אחרון: פיוט "אין אדיר.. מפי קל" בכתב יד.
כריכה חצי עור נאה. בדף השער קרעים עם מעט חסר במסגרת השער וכן במעט דפים קרעים קלים בשוליים. עט כתמים ונזקי עש. מצב טוב מאוד.
