An antique etching on paper. Classic European art, 18th century, Italian school. The artwork illustrates a classic Christian plot from the New Testament, Flight into Egypt, when Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus had to flee from Herod. The picture depicts a young woman with a baby on her lap, riding a donkey that carries a big load surrounded by goats and sheep. Fine detailing.
