TWELVE RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED DURING THE RABBIS CONFERENCE IN TEL AVIV –TEHRAN CHILDREN AFFAIR (STENCIL PAGE)
On 11 of Sivan 5703 (14.06.1943) a rabbinical conference was held regarding Tehran children. In the conference, held in Tel Aviv (in Nathan Strauss Hall), the rabbis discussed the obligation to save Jews from the Holocaust and the obligation to give religious education to refugee children. This document includes many details and fascinating resolutions adopted at the conference.
"A) ... SOS SOS SOS!!! That there is no justness higher than rescuing the people of G-d, and no evil like destruction the people who received the Torah... b) The conference hereby announces the Torah opinion (Da’at Torah), that all refugee children ... we are committed to give them a religious education as we are commanded by G-d ... ".
