Brown and white coloration.
The hero of Shakespeare's 1596 romantic play, Romeo falls in love with Juliet, the daughter of a Verona family feuding with his own. The lives of these two clandestine lovers end tragically and, with bitter irony, cause the reconciliation of the two families. The handle for the regular issue jug incorporates a dagger superimposed on a column supporting a balcony. Series: The Shakespearean Collection. Royal Doulton backstamp.
