A painting from the series "The View from a Room Window" 2020

The series of paintings "The View from My Window" was made in the first closure. When our lives seemed to stop at once, in this series the artist was looking for how to rediscover the sense of passing time. The window is the same window but the view reflected in it is constantly changing.

For the first time in KooKoo, we are honoured to present her Avia Halabi (1996), a young Israeli artist, a gifted realism student - she also belongs to the stream of Israeli artists who studied art in Florence, Avia studied with Daniela Aston in Florence and in Israel she studied with Eran Weber. She is currently studying figurative painting at Stella's Stimulation Studio in Givatayim.

''When I go out looking for a subject for a new painting, I find that I am drawn to the marginal and dusty corners of life. It is precisely in those corners that forces me to find the purest beauty. As a child, I was taught that God is in the small details - in the act of painting I seek to unite with that sublime feeling that has the power to make everyday life sacred. ''
