KAHN, AVROHAM YITZCHAK
(Admor of Toldoth Aharon, 1914-1996). Group of three letters: Two Autograph Letters Signed and one Typed Letter Signed.
* 1. General Letter requesting financial contributions to the Rebbe’s disciple, R. Ze’ev Yechezkel Citronbaum, a poor widower making a wedding for his younger daughter.
* 2. To R. Mordechai David (no surname) concerning whether a sick person, R. Menashe(?) Gottleib should be treated in Israel or abroad. The Rebbe advocates for Israel, which has fine doctors who are less expensive.
* 3. To his student Avraham offering advice on how to better serve God in advance of the Yamim Noraim.
Jerusalem:
R. Avraham Yitzchak Kahn was the primary successor of his father-in-law, R. Aharon Roth, as the leader of the “Shomer Emunim” Chasiduth. Under his leadership, it became known as “Toldoth Aharon”. Upon his death, the court was divided among two of his sons, one of whom took the name for his branch “Toldot Avraham Yitzchak” after his father.
