One-day entry permit to Jaffa - in the midst of the War of Independence


Jaffa Entry License - State of Israel Military Governor Jaffa Area - Entry License No. 2273 for one day to the city of Jaffa on August 5, 1948. Was given to Elijah Shirzi  "without a car". Validity of the certificate: for Thursday. Signed with the signature and stamp of the district governor.


During the War of Independence, officers and military personnel entered Jaffa in July-August 1948, and the city was defined as a 'military area'. In those days, non-military citizens were not allowed to enter the city except with a special permit such as the one before us.
