Rare Egyptian Faience Winged Scrab Amulet
Made of a rich darkish green faience which is essentially molded crushed quartz. This example is very stable and could be made into a gorgeous necknace if desired, or, just framed and collected. Great study and conversation piece. Many similar found in Ancient Egyptian Tombs. From a significant old Los Angeles Antiquities Collection. Swingspan measures 73mm (that's 2 13/16") tip to tip. Weighs 16.6 grams.
