Johann Henrich (sometimes Heinrich) Otto (1733 - c. 1800). Watercolor, pen and ink on laid paper, sheet 12.5 x 18 inches.

"To these married people as Adam Neu and his married housewife Barbara, born Eimmingen, a son is born, namde Michael Neu. Was born in the year 1762, the 21st day of February at 11:00 o'clock in the evening. In proof of the praise, incorporated in the covenant of grace, and by Reverend Grever, preacher and servant of the word of God, was baptized and christened on the 11th of March, as named above. Above named was born in America in the province of Pennsylvania, in Dauphin County, Libanon Township. Baptismal witnesses are Daniel Biehl and his wife Barbara."
