A series of collages with a gender reversal of the sound of their vows
Gender transformation into famous works from the history of art through a collage from bookshelves. The artist chose the theme to emphasize the messages that permeate us about the gender roles that each of us is required to take on as a man or a woman.
Most of the time, these messages are often transparent to us. It’s hard for us to criticize something we don’t even see.
By taking familiar images and transforming the genders, the image becomes jarring and allows the question - what is jarring about it. For example the level of dominance, which is reflected in the placements of each character, in her attire or nudity and in her position in the frame.
