Passover Haggadah with the Chasam Sofer’s Commentary. First Edition. Lvov, 1850
Exceptionally rare – Haggadah with the commentary of the Chasam Sofer.
The present work is the first publishing of the Chasam Sofer’s novellae on Aggadah. (It was the second of his works to be published, after Shu”t Chasam Sofer on Yoreh Deah.)
The title page proclaims: “With a new and cherished commentary, never before seen.” At the head of each page is written, “With the commentary of Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Sofer.”
Lvov, 1850. First edition. [16] leaves. 22 cm. Poor condition, heavy wine stains. Margins professionally restored. New leather binding.
