רבי יששכר בעריש הכהן נולד בשנת תקס"ג לרבי משה. היה חתנו של הרב אברהם צבי מוולברוז. היה תלמידם של רבי ישכר בער מראדושיץ, רבי חיים מאיר יחיאל ממאגלינצא, רבי אלעזר מקאזניץ ורבי חיים וואלברום תלמידו של החוזה מלובלין. משנת תרכ"ב החל לכהן ברבנות ובאדמו"רות בוולברוז'. היה צם משבת לשבת. נפטר בפיעטרקוב א' חשון תרל"ח. חיבר את הספר "עבודת יששכר" "אמרי נועם" ו"סדר הזמנים".
