1965.

Son of Rabbi Shimon Ya'akov Gliksberg, one of the founding members of the Mizrachi Zionist movement, Haim Gliksberg (1904-70) was born in Pinsk, Russia, emigrating to Palestine in 1925, where he attended the Bezalel School of Art. He later settled in Tel Aviv founded the Painters and Sculptors Association and became close with national poet, Hayim Nahman Bialik. Gliksberg's art is associated with subtle tones and atmospheric intimacy as seen in the present example of the devout deep in prayer.
