Tzefnat Panach Chadash, copy of the Kerem Shlomo—Rabbi Shlomo of Babov (the first), Lviv (Lemberg) 1891
Fourth edition of the book by Rabbi Yosef ben Moshe of Prmysla, first printed in 1644, bearing the endorsement of Rabbi Naftali Katz, the Smichat Khachamim. The compiler was a descendent of Rashi and compiled additional works, including Ketonet Pasim and Siddur Keter Yosef. The copy before us is signed by Rabbi Shlomo of Babov the First, founder of Babov chassidut and grandson of Rabbi Haim the Divrei Haim of Sanz. The book was given as a present to the son-in-law of Rabbi Shlomo of Babov, Rabbi Haim Yaakov Teitelbaum, the Av Beit Din of Limnov, who even signed his name on the back of the book (son of Rabbi Moshe Yosef Av Beit Din of Ohel, grandson of the “Yeitev Lev,” Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum, rabbi of Sighet and forefather of the Satmar dynasty, among the grandchildren of the Divrei Haim of Sanz). Generally good condition, binding is disconnected. Light moth marks.
