Japanese Cavalry Saddle Circa WWII
Consistent with the style, and design of known examples, this is most likely a World War II Japanese cavalry saddle. The leather is in typically worn condition, with no major damage outside of one 1” slit (that does not affect structural integrity). Three straps are intact and functional on either side, while the flaps are worn leather suede. Two buckles are on the back on one side. All fasteners are secure and in great condition, and edges are worn but the stitching is all sewn in and original. Needs some polishing, otherwise a great antique piece from Wartime /Post War Japan.
