SOVIET BADGE READY FOR AIR AND CHEMICAL DEFENSE STAGE II
A vintage Soviet badge 'Ready for Air and Chemical Defense. Second Stage.' Issued between 1939 and 1941. Bronze, enamel, screwback. It was awarded to those who demonstrated excellence in the study of the tasks of air and chemical defense including knowledge and ability to use a gas mask correctly and the ability to provide urgent assistance to victims of fires and other disasters as well as for being leaders and/ or active participants in programs ran by The Society for the Assistance of Defense, Aircraft and Chemical Construction. Length: 1.5 in.
