Oversized German WWII poster 'The importance of the English strongholds' from the series 'Pictures of the Week' (Bilder der Woche) Nr. 35 / 14. July 1940. Propaganda and educational posters for soldiers, issued by the Supreme Command of the Kriegsmarine, printed by Scherl-Bilderdienst, to be hung in the barracks and public spaces. 24.5 x 33 inches. Some chipping at mailing folds. Accompanied by the original supplemental booklet, 15 pages, and the supplemental text poster to be hung next to the poster. Very good. Three pieces.
