HITLER'S 50TH BIRTHDAY ILLUSTRIERTER BEOBACHTER
Rare special edition 'IB Sonderausgabe Unser Fuhrer' of the NSDAP weekly illustrated magazine 'Illustrierter Beobachter' ('Illustrated Observer'), published in 1939 to honor Adolf Hitler's 50th birthday. Included is the rare original envelope. The issue contains propaganda text in German and many large black and white photographs of Hitler supporting his portrayal in multiple positive roles such as his early years, 'Der Fuhrer of the NSDAP', 'The man in the brown shirt', 'loyal comrade', 'friend of the farmers', 'creator of the great German Reich', 'builder of streets', 'soldier', 'artist', and 'the bringer of joy and rest.' Published in Munich, Franz Eher Nachf., edited by Hermann Esser, 128 pages, ca 10.5 x 14.25 inches. The envelope has some tape repairs and wear, the magazine itself has minor wear on the spine, otherwise very good.
