GERMAN HISTORICAL MILITARY UNIFORMS HERBERT KNOETEL
Complete portfolio with 32 color plates depicting the German military in full uniform from 1680 through WWII, titled 'Die Entwicklung des Deutschen Heeres - Uniformtafeln' ('The Development of the German Army - Uniform Plates') by Martin Lezius. All images are based on watercolor drawings created by German artist and illustrator Herbert Knoetel (1893-1963). Large portfolio card folder, 9 1/8 x 12 1/4 in., also containing 8 pages of plate descriptions in German, publisher not stated, nd. circa 1937. Some damage and staining on the folder, otherwise very good.
